Sketches from the subway and Manhattan
These ones bled quite a bit. The Bee company pen sketcher pads don't have good paper for pens anymore. I was recommending them before!
Santa Barbara Zoo
I really expected the elephants to move a lot less! I had to work for these drawings.
The dog is not from the zoo. That would be a boring exhibit.

Detour
Warning: You may not like this if you are a big fan of censorship or if your favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla.
I did this comic over a year ago at a 24 hour comic day. I went for 12 hours and did 12 pages (instead of the regular 24 pages in 24 hours.) I don't mind working hard but I have a personal policy of always getting enough sleep. I promised Mark Simmons that I'd post it so I'm finally keeping my word. (Mark actually finished 24 pages!)
Egg Lovers
I've been getting more into egg-related stuff recently. I still hate eating eggs though. I won't let that conflict with my drawing interests though, don't worry! You were worried.
Practice stuff
I've been really busy ever since I moved to New York so I haven't really had time to find people to go sketch with. I also haven't had time to update my blog! Just so you know I still draw, here's some proof of life.
One of the things I've been busy with is preparing my game to submit to IGF. If you haven't seen it yet, you can stay up to date on the blog- Echo Storm If you send me your email address, I might even send you a preview build to try out.
Bronx Zoo and Natural History
I learned that those circles behind frog's eyes are actually their eardrums.
Gorillas always look really smart when you make eye contact with them.
I drew that hedgehog in about 30 seconds while getting kicked out because the museum was closed.

Some ideas and doodles
National Air and Space Museum

The thing I was most excited to see in D.C. was the National Air and Space Museum. Last time I saw it I was 9 but it lived up to my expectations. I also visited the Udvar-Hazy Center. They have a space shuttle, the Enola Gay, and just about every other famous aircraft you can think of. It would take weeks to draw everything they have there. They have hundreds of satellites and planes hanging from the ceiling like Christmas ornaments.
